My name is Brooke, and no, I didn't play football.

Or I did as a kid, very briefly. I’m told I was more interested in picking flowers, holding my dad’s hand, and sipping juice boxes than actual game play. Today, I play Fantasy Premier League. To say I'm mediocre would be generous.

Why the Premier League?

I love football and have followed the English Premier League for most of my life. I blame my dad, (a native Englishman), the years spent living in London, and the many, many mornings waking up to Dad belting out Arsenal cheers.

Both my brothers played football in high school and college, so I’ve grown up around the sport. When football is ever-present in your household, it seeps into your consciousness ... even if you don't want it to.

I am a passionate supporter of both England and Arsenal.

My favorite Arsenal players are Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli. Other players I admire across the league include Kevin de Bruyne, James Maddison, Kieran Trippier, Phil Foden, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marcus Rashford, Heung Min-Son, Lewis Miley, and Ollie Watkins.

Yes, I realize a lot of them play for England! That's on purpose.
